• Ittoqqortoormiit (formerly Scoresbysund), a small village on the eastern side of Greenland. Hunting (of musk-oxen, whale, polar bears, etc) still remain a crucial economic activity for a village so far away from main urban areas, although tourism is becoming more important.

• Visited on an excursion while cruising with Hurtigruten on their North East Greenland National Park expedition with the MV Fram. The scenery was breathtaking, but the 'expedition team' on the cruise was the worst. DON'T go to Iceland/Greenland/Spitsbergen with Hurtigruten.
